The Eglu Go is the simple, stylish, straightforward way to start keeping chickens. It is designed for you to keep up to 4 medium hens like the Gingernut Ranger or 2-3 larger breeds such as Brahmas and Buff Orpintons. The Eglu Go comes complete with everything you need to get started. It has plastic roosting bars and a discreet nesting area which can be filled with straw or shredded paper to make a comfortable nest for your chickens. The freshly laid eggs can be plucked from the nest simply by opening the door at the back and can be served with some buttery soldiers in a matter of minutes - delicious!
You'll find keeping your Eglu Go in tip-top condition a breeze thanks to its innovative slide-out dropping tray and wipe clean surfaces. Made from energy efficient polymers, it's a hygienic home for your hens that will last for years and at the end of its life can be 100% recycled.
Everything you will need to start keeping chickens
The slide out dropping tray makes cleaning simple
The Eglu Go is quick and easy to clean with a slide out tray for collecting droppings and a large door at the back which allows easy access to the roosting bars and nesting area. Simply slide the droppings tray out and empty into the compost bin - they will make a wonderful fertilizer for your plants. The Eglu’s smooth plastic surfaces can be washed with a hose – no difficult corners or absorbent materials, or give it a deep clean quickly with a pressure washer. Unlike wooden housing, you do not need to treat your Eglu.
The optional (yet recommended) standard 2m run is made from strong steel weld mesh, virtually impossible for predators to break. A unique anti-tunnel skirt sits flat on the ground and prevents animals from digging in. The run has spacious vertical sides and gives your chickens plenty of room. You can extend the run in 1m sections if you wish. The Eglu can be positioned on grass or any other surface such as wood chippings or rough ground where the chickens can rummage.
The unique tunnel-proof panels have been proven in rigorous testing to be fox and badger resistant. The run means that when you are out and about you can be sure that your chickens are safe. The dark green coating is fused to the metal wires ensuring an extremely durable finish that looks great in the garden.
The run comes in sections for easy transportation or storage and can be assembled in minutes.
The skirt keeps your chickens safe inside.
The Run has a free-ranger door, so you can let your chickens roam the garden
The new run design means you can now position the door on either the side or the end panels. This is useful if you want to fit the Eglu Go into a spot where accessing the run would be more convenient from the side. You can use the door to let your chickens out and they will enjoy roaming around your garden looking for slugs and other tasty morsels.
The Eglu Go has a single large door at the back, which you can open to reveal the roosting bars, nesting area and dropping tray.
The Eglu has roosting bars for your chickens to perch at night and a discreet nesting box which can be filled with straw, shredded paper or wood shavings.
Let your chickens out in the morning and shut them away at night using the front door. Easy to use, and perfect when you want to keep your chickens out in the run while you clean the inside of your eglu or collect those freshly laid eggs!
The Eglu is specially designed to keep your chickens warm in winter. The Eglu has a unique twin-wall insulation system which works in a similar way to double glazing trapping a pocket of air which provides a very effective means of insulating the house.
In summer your chickens will be kept cool by the Eglu's draught-free ventilation system, carefully designed to avoid air blowing directly over the roosting area whilst allowing fresh air to circulate.
Draft free ventilation for your chickens.
Eglu Classic keeps your chickens cool in the summer, and warm in the winter!

Like ladies at Ascot during a downpour, chickens don’t like getting their plumage wet. Luckily the all weather shade is a perfect gentleman protecting your chickens from wind and rain. What’s more in summer this useful device keeps the delicate ladies out of the heat of the midday sun.(This shade comes free only if you are buying an Eglu with run.)
You will soon find that your home grown eggs are in high demand from friends and family. You will be able to make giving them even more special with your own egg boxes! Your Omlet egg boxes will do just the job, and with space for only four eggs, instead of the standard half dozen, you will be able to make your eggs spread further.
Written by Omlet and packed with straight-forward tips on looking after chickens, the guide is an invaluable information source for the beginner and advanced user alike.
If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with the Eglu Go or the chickens you can send it back to us for a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Each chicken will reward you with an egg most mornings. What could be better than that?
If you want to keep your chickens on grass we recommend that you move your Eglu Go around every so often to keep your lawn in tip top condition..
Ideally your garden should have a fence all the way round. This will prevent your chickens from wandering into the neighbour's garden and, more importantly, ensure that all the eggs are laid on your side of the fence! The fence should be about 1.5m (5ft) high.
If you do not have grass, it is possible to keep a couple of chickens but you must provide them with a layer of wood chippings to rummage about in as this will give them the right type of surface underfoot.
Happy chickens
The Eglu Go House is suitable for up to 4 medium sized chickens or 2-3 larger breeds such as Buff Orpingtons or Cochins. When setting up your Eglu, you should allow 60cm of space behind the house to enable the dropping tray to slide out easily.

Acquired Eglu Go 2 weeks ago and from the day after assembling and putting the 2 Ginger Nut Rangers and the Speckledie in their new home we have been getting 2 to 3 eggs a day. Already thinking about buying the Cube!. Only hiccup was that the box did not contain the instruction leaflet for assembly or the caring for chicken booklet, this was soon remedied.
I started with a traditional coop. I have a small backyard and it took up most of it. Plus it was hard to clean and not completely predator proof. The Omlet is the BEST!!! Easy to assembly and super easy to clean. It is completely predator proof as well. The run also comes on and off easily. Absolutely, hands down, love this product and would, without hesitation, recommend it.
As we live in a fairly exposed part of the Isle of Man (top of a hill with practically a 360 degree sea view) my biggest concern was how the Eglu would stand up to the extremely high winds we get from time to time. I need not have worried! A week or so we had a storm with winds gusting up to 60 mph - so strong that the garden store containing all the feed etc blew right across the garden. But through it all the Eglu did not budge an inch! It is also of sturdy construction. It was not long before we were visited by Mr R.A.T. who attempted to tunnel under the Eglu at the back. He had obviously tried to nibble his way in but could make no headway at all. So all in all I am totally delighted with my Eglu and secure in the knowledge that, whatever the weather up here, my girls are safe and sound!
I really like the Eglu Go but the nest is too shallow so nesting stuff is lost. Perhaps you could sell/give a ring or something to deepen the nest
I have recently brought an eglu go, i have been keeping chickens for about 4 years now and have had different styles of wooden houses and even a pvc! I wished i had done my home work years ago and brought an eglu go , it is so much easier to clean, i love the back door, it gives so much access and a doddle to clean. My girls dont seem to be a fan of the feeder, although this is not a big deal as they have an emperor feeder in their 4metre by 3 metre enclosure. If i add up the cost of the money i have spent on previous houses i could have 4 eglus in my garden! That would be one or each girl! Never mind i got there in the end ........ I love my eglu.
