Over the years, I've had six of these great dogs. None has been under 90 lb, all have lived to at least 14 years. They have been wonderful with children, great protectors, great companions. As with any large dog, they need training and consistency to be well mannered! I've had RRs in MD, NH, RI, CA, and WY, and they've been fine, but I did have to have a custom coat made for deep cold in WY!

Wonderful, faithful friend. Mild and gentle with even small children. Will be lazy given the chance. Never barked in his whole life. Lovely breed. Our loving Harvey passed over the rainbow bridge at 10, but I wouldn't hesitate getting another.
