Lots of gerbil ailments can be treated, but many will need professional care. It’s for this reason that it’s wise to have picked out a vet before your gerbils starts to show any health problems. The last thing you want to be doing is frantically ringing round to check if surgeries have any small mammal veterinarians when your gerbil is unwell and needing attention. It’s good to be prepared!
