If the weather is poor, then it’s important to keep your guinea pigs dry in order to minimise the risk of them getting a chill, a leading cause of guinea pig illness in the UK. If it’s wet out, then investing in a run cover will allow your guinea pigs to be outside even during poor weather. If it’s not nice out, it’s better to give your pets the option rather than forcing them to be outside in their run – run covers can protect them from rain but they might prefer to be in their hutch in the warm.
Guinea pig run covers give your pets the option of getting some fresh air in poor weather
If it’s warm enough for your guinea pigs to be out in the winter, then we recommend these covers to give them some extra protection against the elements.
