Very happy with the door and the light works perfectly I use the timer setting because my chickens go in at a certain time and not based on daylight. Chickens love it they don’t have to wait for me to come down to let them out.

Works well but hard to fit
Pleased with the door in the end but the instructions were rubbish and the mechanism was upside down to the illustration. I had to get a friend to help and tried lots of different ways and expected it wouldn’t work but it did so thank goodness. Otherwise it would have got five starts.

I found this easy to fit but I did have my sister to help as it is easier with two people.

A good product
It operates really well, timer and safety mechanisms. Only downside is when keeping it low (for ducks) it can get clogged and won’t shut.
A remote and/or Wi-fi enabled would be brilliant.quite pricey too.

Worth the wait
It took between 6 and 8 weeks to get delivered, but worth it. The chickens are not scared of the sound from the door, and I love that it opens sideways instead of guillotine style. Installation on a wooden coop was fairly straightforward. The only wish I have is that it can be controlled via wi-fi and with an app (to me with the technology that is available, it's almost worth a 2-star deduction). I would love to open or close the door after I look in on them with my camera instead of going to the control box to push the button (There are reasons I don't use the time or daylight mode to open and close the door).

Must Have
Not really a "must have" for many many people have raised chickens without this door and done just fine. Yep, every morning at the crack of dawn they got themselves up and out of bed to open the coop up, every morning, morning in and morning out. Up and at em every morning and don't forget every evening too. Does your personal time off have any value whatsoever ? Do the math and buy the door.

Chicken life is easy now
This door has made my life on the Homestead so much easier. It’s freed up so much of my time. My birds are happier, because they get out right at sunrise every day. It’s easy to use, reliable every time and after an entire month of use the battery life is still at 90%. Best chicken purchase I ever made.

Great Door - Well worth the investment
I bought the Omelet door to make it easier to lock up the ladies at night to keep them safe, and to let them out in the morning (so I can sleep in). The door was really simple to install, and it worked from the first try. The chickens adjusted instantly with no trouble. Now, I don't even have to think about letting them out in the morning. Everyone wins! $200 US was a bit steep but this is a solid product and the ease of automation was well worth the price. I can actually travel for a couple days now without hassling a neighbor to let them in and out.
