I researched this for a while. We have 15 hens and I have a busy schedule. Safety and reliability was my #1 priority. Installed so easy!! My husband installed it on a wooden coop. So far ZERO hiccups. Highly recommend. It did take a while for the shipping but..doesn't everything these days?

Had this door for about a couple of weeks now and it is the best! Runs smooth, was super easy to install, and love how it has a sensor on it to detect if a chicken is in the way! Also the best customer service.

Wonderful don’t have to go out in all weathers to let the girls out or shut them in at night, have kept hens for many years , wish I’d have had an auto door sooner.

I'm not an idiot but I couldn't be bothered figuring out how to do this myself. I know that it's a relatively simple process, but I have better things to do than measure the size of the auto door, figure the length and the thickness of the wood I need, go get the wood, cut it to size, drill the pilot holes for the sides, line up the holes with those on the auto door, and then put it together. Instead, this process was buy online, screw, done. Simple!

We have a small kit coop with mini run in our larger chicken run. Didn’t want to ruin the door but wanted an automatic door. This was the best rated horizontal opening door. Had to juryrig a new opening and put the attachment bolts on backwards because of a metal bar. It works great! The girls love that they can get out and eat and patiently wait for us to let them into the larger run. Might invest in another one

I love that not only can you set it for dawn to dusk but you can set the times it opens and closes! It was a easy set up. Tried the safety feature of closing it on my hand and it let up like it was suppose to and makes me feel more comfortable when our chicks are big enough to go to the run that we don’t have to worry about it shutting on them!

Bought this about 2 years ago and it has given me lots of pleasure and no grief. Easy to fit and works perfectly. I use the timer setting so my chickens don’t wake the neighbours early on a summer morning and so I know that they’re safely locked up, away from foxes at night. I suspected the batteries would need replacing more than twice a year BUT 2 years in I’m still on my first 4xAA Duracell batteries and there’s 80% left!

Fast delivery..easy hook up. Didn’t seem too bright when I hooked it up but came back at night and turned on an it was perfect amount of brightness in my opinion.

The door is opening and closing with the light. The instructions are a little complicated but I didn't change anything and left it in the default and I'm too scared to adjust it. But so far it is working like gangbusters.

I was VERY hesitant about buying a $200 automatic chicken door...for good reason. I mean let's face it, there are so many auto doors out there that are cheaper that work well. In fact, I had ordered one from another supplier that was super cheap and very cheaply made but is still working after a month and a half so I feel like I'm getting my moneys worth I guess. I'm just not sure that its gonna last long. BUT this Omlet Auto door...its FIRE! The quality is top notch. There is a little "put together" involved but not much. The install was SUPER easy. I opted to get the Coop Light as well because it was only a few dollars more and I was not disappointed at all. I love the fact that it uses very little battery but lights up the coop pretty good. I would recommend the Omlet Auto door any day of the week. In fact, I'm going to be ordering another one after these last two payments. Oh yeah...you can break up the cost into payments which made it even easier.
