The only down side as far we are concerned is that it is impossible to fit an electric door opener to the cube. Other than that we are very pleased with it and hopefully it's construction should help keep the red mite away ! Thanks Andrew

Four hours of wrestling with heavy bits and fiddly bits and it all went together. Other ingredients necessary include a little swearing and plenty of brute force and ignorance in places. There are some bits of rubber seal left over that aren't mentioned in the instructions though. Once together the Cube looks pretty good. I didn't get my chooks till a couple of weeks later so it got the chance to be rain and wind tested and has so far withstood some horrific downpours. With the chooks now in I can appreciate its easy enough to clean out being at waist height. I've had to shield one part of the run with tarp due to the awful weather we've been having so the birds have a little shelter. When it comes to moving it to another patch of ground I can see I'll struggle (looks to be at least a two person job). Overall I'm happy with it so far. *update* Our first ever egg has been laid today!!

I am new to chicken keeping this year and started out with a wooden hen house and run with three hens but now I have extended my flock to six hens so I decided to purchase a green Cube which is absolutely brilliant! It arrived flat packed and was very easy to assemble. I purchased two extensions to the run so there is plently of space for my chooks to run around. The cube is easy to clean and move about but two people are needed to move it and some handles at the rear would be useful. I have purchased a large clear tarpaulin which stretches right across the run and down the sides so they should keep nice and dry and snug throughout the winter. My chooks are very happy in their new home and very safe from Mr Fox! Katy

Excellent service. Everything arrived as planned and was quickly assembled and instructions given by a most competent and informative person. The chickens started laying eggs within an hour of arriving! No problems whatsoever - I would thoroughly recommend this method of looking after chickens to anyone.

The cube makes chicken keeping easy for all. My 9 year old son and I were able to build it in 1 hr 40 mins, which was very impressive. It is very easy to clean out, a 10 minute job. Best of all it is easy to move around the garden so the lawn is not being destroyed.

The standard run is too small for the number of chickens indicated by Omlet if they are kept in it all the time. I only have 4 and it is too crowded for them, resulting in bad pecking behaviour. The hens (ex-battery) haven't mastered the ladder so they fly out of the house and bang straight in to the cage. During the day they knock off the grub feeder. On the plus side I have full confidence in the security of the hens against predators and the house is easy to keen clean and do the daily routines.

Love it, love it, love it - It keeps my chickens safe from our local Mr Fox. It's so easy to clean (I have cleaned a lot of animal housing in my time and this is by far the easiest). I had no problems constructing my Eglu Cube and did most of it alone. All the pieces were there and went together well. If there was a wish list I would ask for a handle on the 1 metre run extension to make it easier to move, as moving the complete unit is a two person job. Oh and my chickens love it too!

Had the cube for just over a month now. We all love it. Omlet came and set it up. The girls took to it really quickly and made it their home. It's easy to keep clean. It's really well designed. In my opinion it's the best chicken house on the market. :)
