After a break from keeping chickens we were looking for a completely new setup for our new flock. We previously had a large wooden walk in chicken run and initially hesitated over the premium price associated with the Eglu cube. We are thrilled with the product, it is very well designed and easy to assemble. I find cleaning the cube much easier than my old run and the looks mean it can be placed centrally within the garden without detracting from the surroundings.

While searching for the perfect coop, I initially dismissed plastic. But as I ruled out one wooden coop after another, I finally explored the Eglu. Reviews were excellent, You Tube videos helpful, and I am a fan of modern design. It took me two days to assemble, and I'm proud to say I did it myself. It's a solid structure I know inside and out. Hens took to it immediately. I have a light layer of sand in the poop tray, so daily cleaning is like scooping a cat litter box. I wipe down the roost bars and I'm done. I purchased the automatic door and I love it. While I do check on my flock in the morning and evening, I know they are safe when I can't be there. The only modification made was to add 1/4" hardware cloth over the mesh. I live in a wooded area with every kind of predator and wanted to be sure nothing could slip in, including grabby racoon hands. Eglu is pricy, but well worth the investment.

I thought it was ridiculous to spend so much money on a coop set up but we’ve had it for less than a week and I can already say it’s worth every penny. I go to bed every night knowing my flock is safe, I wake up every morning to clean the coop, which only takes me 5 minutes. I can move it with ease and it looks pretty good in my urban backyard. The flock loves it too. They know they are living in style!

I was lucky enough to stumble across someone selling their Eglu and 4 hens on Craigslist back in July. I loved the coop immediately! It's so easy to keep clean and clear of pests. The back door and egg door design are great for protection. I never worry about anything getting to the flock while they're asleep. While cedar coops are really nostalgic looking, these coops are durable and won't require replacement any time soon. I was so impressed that when we moved to our new home, I purchased a second (purple) coop for the 5 additional hens that I added to the flock. Now, they reside in the Chick Inn (ha, ha, ha...) converted greenhouse and free range in a fenced 1/4 acre. Because I have 2 coops, the girls can randomly select which coop they want to sleep in every night. Sometimes I have 7 hens in one coop- and they're all quite cozy! For those of you wondering how many hens can fit in one, I can only say that they seem to like piling in at night. Though some of my hens are pullets still (born in June), they're all sizable girls. I've got 2 Wellsumer pullets, 1 Australorp pullet, 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Blue Copper Maran, 1 Easter Egger, 1 Russian Orlaf and 2 black Ameraucana pullets. Watching 7 of them climb in together is quite entertaining. Recently I purchased 3 roosting bars for the run and an Extreme Temperature Jacket for one of the coops. That way the hens can choose which coop they like best (one that's slightly cozier or one without a jacket). Did I mention that both coops have the auto door installed? L-O-V-E that feature! As a person who works earlier than the sun rises, I don't want my girls exposed to chilly air this winter before they need to be. I set them to open on their own with the rising sun and don't worry my ladies at all! I have to say, that I have considered getting a 3rd coop so that I can keep adding to my flock. My husband may wonder at my sanity, but really... Can anyone have too many hens??

I believe our Cube was in the second shipment ever to the United States and here we are over 11 years later and it is still just as amazing as it was back in 2009. It has been absolutely great from the beginning. We have never had a predator incident and our chickens tend to live good long lives (7 and up). Our oldest girl will turn 10 here in a couple months. I have absolutely no complaints. It has been easy to keep clean and incredibly functional. Okay, one complaint. I really want a purple one, but cannot justify replacing ours because it works just as well as it did over a decade ago. Thanks Omlet!

We had a wooden coop and suffered from red mites and trouble moving it. The Eglu cube is not cheap but we feel it’s worth the price. No mites so far, the birds like it , it’s easy to keep clean and very easy to move. Great product , well done Omlet

Eglu solved my backyard coop problems—protection from raccoons, easy to clean, and high enough to be up out of the coming snow so my hens stay dry and secure. I absolutely love this coop. Thank you for a great design and a quality product.

After 3 years of wanting an Eglu cube we were finally in our new home and ready to order. We placed the order on March 22nd 2020 for the Cube and accessories, just as Covid19 lockdown hit Australia. From the Australian website we understood the product was actually in Australia but this was not the case. After much confusion and many emails we learnt that the products we ordered were not in the country! We waited 3 months and our order arrived on our doorstep Mid June 2020. We put everything together over a weekend and the next weekend bought our 3 x Hyline Brown chickens. Besides waiting for the Coop to arrive, it has been a wonderful experience owning the Cube. The chickens learnt very quickly where 'home' is and adjusted to the automatic door immediately. Cleaning the Cube is so easy , the chickens have learnt where to lay the eggs in the nesting box and overall we are exceedingly happy with this fantastic product.
