Good all round product but would be handy to be able to set the time in the morning (prefer them to come out at 7am in summer) and dusk setting in the evening. At the moment can't mix and match.

I recently installed the Omlet automatic door on my timber chicken house (which itself sits inside a fenced compound). The installation process was relatively straight-forward although I did have to jury-rig a couple of things - I needed two larger screws (than the ones provided) to secure the bottom of the door, and I spent a bit of time fashioning some metal brackets to reattach the little ramp in to the nesting box (which had to be removed as part of removal of the existing coop door). Probably not necessary but I also used a couple of spacers along the top of the door as the design of my coop meant the door was not flush all the way around. My coop is a common design so it may be worth Omlet considering putting together an attachment kit for this style. The manual spoke about a door calibration function but I was not able to activate this. Nonetheless the door appears to open and close perfectly. I now keep both the door to the coop and the compound open 24/7 with the Omlet door keeping our hens safe at night. We have already had one visit from a fox who left disappointed. I am very happy with my Omlet and can highly recommend it.

I was so delighted to see that Omlet started making a smart version of their Autodoor. In fact I had written them a few months ago suggesting they develop this exact thing. (Not that I had anything to do with it, but, great minds…?) And this is just what I was hoping for. It's great to have peace of mind in getting notifications that the door has opened or closed. But more important for me is being able to open or close the door on my phone without having to schlep out to the coop. This came in valuable last night. We have a camera outside the coop and when we were out to dinner and I could see that Ladybird had gotten locked out when the door closed. So I was able to open it remotely, she scooted in, and then I closed it. Perfect! And we were able to stay for dessert and not have run home!

Our hens aren't at home so it was a real nuisance having to go back out to our smallholding late in the evening to secure them. This door has solved all of that! The light that comes on with it helps them all get onto their roosts safely and then the door quietly closes. Couldn't be without it.

This coop door was an easy install and has been incredibly reliable, never jamming. It seems designed for most coop set ups and with chicken-life in mind. I love that to door slides closed from the side, so nothing can get stuck at the base and leave a gap. The threshold design prevents debris from collecting and causing issues. It also looks great! I installed ours six months ago and the battery life is still showing 100%. The dusk to dawn sensor has worked great and our hens adapted quickly. I just ordered a second door for a new coop for a second batch of chickens. It's been worth every penny and allows us to safely leave our hens for the day or a dinner out.

This is the second auto-door I have purchased for my second timber hen house. It makes life so much easier, particularly in the summer when the hens are out later than me. I can hear the door close in the evening and open in the morning from my bed and know that all is well. The customer service team at Omlet are simply second to none! A very genuine and trustworthy organisation that I have no hesitation in recommending!

This auto door are great, I have one for my coop and a second on my run, they have made my life so much simpler.

Easy to assemble, mounted it, put the batteries in and IT WORKED, just like it should and has ever since.

It allows chickens to sleep at night safe and light allows us to see them.

The Auto Door has been a great success. With the addition of a “porch” roof that provides cover and a mounting point for the control box the door works very well. The light sensor points out from the wooded area, avoiding too much shade.
